To experiment with UI components that are more detailed than simply a rounded box or a circle. We used to see more life in skeuomorphism, but it simply takes too long for the average tech company. A retro 8-bit theme is a great excuse to introduce all kinds of creative designs.

This is also a space where I can share what I learnt along the way, organise my bookmarks. This site revisits the typical “bookmark manager” junior dev project, and has some fun with it.
