To experiment with web design that is a little more interesting than simply a
flat rounded box or a circle. We used to see more vibrant and engaging frontend concepts in skeuomorphism, but it simply takes too long to implement for the average tech company.
A retro 8-bit theme is a great excuse to experiment with more creative designs.
This is also a space where I can share what I learn along the way, as well as organizing my bookmarks. Part of the site revisits the classic “bookmark manager” junior dev project, and has some fun with it.
